Galician priests in the scientific and public life of Galicia in the 19 th century (on the example of the priest Vasyl Ilnytskyi)

Abstract

The article studied the life and career one of the famous Ukrainian intellectuals of the 19 th century – Vasyl Ilnytskyi – priest, historian, and social activist. It
was shown the formation of his personality in the backdrop of social and political processes in Eastern Galicia.
