Анотація

A plot of stress and acute confrontation between infernal forces and the monk
Isaac in Kievo-Pecherskiy Paterik is investigated. This plot is interpreted as the
apologetics mythopoetic values of Christian asceticism and monastic dormitory.
Analysis of this text embraces its axiological content by reference to the principles
of academic religious studies.
