Abstract

Some of the iconographic plots, which are quite rare in the temples of Belarus (no more than in three cases), are considered. Brief descriptions of the depicted saints, and the iconography of certain works are presented. The main part of the considered icons belongs to the end of the 19th – beginning of the 20th and conforms to the iconographic canon when saints and martyrs are represented separately together with their attributes and instruments of torture. Some of the icons relating to the 18th – early 19th century were created under the influence of Western
European and Russian art, but in a different compositional originality.
