Sacred works by Szymon Czechowicz in the exposition of Zhovkva Castle

Abstract

In September 2020, Borys Voznytsky Lviv National Art Gallery opened a new department “”Zhovkva Castle” Museum-Reserve”. The exposition of the department recreates the Baroque era and presents more than 200 monuments of art. A separate hall is dedicated to sacred monuments by the artist Szymon Czechowicz. The processes of formation of new expositions, biography of Szymon Czechowicz and works presented at the exposition are considered in the article.
